Ray Carr worked in the Athletic Office at Rocky River High School from January, 2013 - April, 3013. He did an outstanding job, and was always very thorough and punctual with his work. Ray was a consummate professional in his "public" duties as a basketball announcer for both our boys and girls basketball teams. He also served as an announcer for our Community College Challenge charitable game.
In addition to Ray's "public" duties, Ray did great work behind the scenes in the Athletic Department, where he was a great asset in helping to input and cross-check athletic schedules for the 2013-2014 school year. His work was very thorough, detail-oriented and accurate.
Lastly, Ray was given the task of evaluating our outdoor sound system in the stadium, and helping us find a solution to repair and improve the quality of our sound for our outdoor events. Ray worked with several contractors and found a very suitable, sustainable solution to repair and improve our outdoor environment.
Ray is a conscientious and hard worker. He helped make Rocky River Athletics better from his work.
Sincerely,
Mark Wagner

Wedding day: November 10, 2012
My husband and I just got married in November. All the planning you do for one day is so stressful and you just hope things go right. A lot of times you go to weddings and the sign of a great reception is the DJ. We have been to a few weddings and the DJ’s have not been the greatest and we had heard too many horror stories. When we booked our venue we were recommended right away to DJ Ray and were told how fabulous he is. We took a chance and I called Ray up and we set up a meeting to talk about specifics. The minute we got done with the meeting I called my husband and said we had out DJ and I did not want to look for anyone else. The whole time leading up to our wedding Ray would check in to make sure everything was still on schedule and to get our song list. He was so professional every step of the way.
Fast forward to our wedding day. Ray was such an amazing addition to our wedding. He felt like he was a guest as opposed to just our DJ. Ray played the songs we requested and any song our guest wanted to listen to. His choice in delivery of the music just flowed so well and got the crowd dancing the whole time! There was not one time that there wasn’t a crowd on the dance floor! Ray even took time out to get into the photobooth to give us a picture to remember him by. Ray is so amazing at what he does and anyone who has him at their event should not worry about a thing. I just recently had a friend get engaged and my first advice to her was to get in contact with Ray because without a good DJ it just is not a party. Any event that we have that needs a DJ we will be calling Ray right away! We are so lucky that we had Ray recommended to us and we will recommend him to anyone we know. Thank you Ray for making our day just that much more special! Everyone is still talking about how awesome our reception was and what a fabulous DJ we had! Thanks Ray! We now consider you a friend!!!!!

"Dear Ray,
We are writing a very special thank you letter for the completely wonderful service that you provided for us on our wedding day. When you get married, you plan and plan and then hold your breath that it all comes together. We can honestly say it was the best day of our lives and we owe so much of it to you. You did an amazing job hosting our event. You played everything we asked for (and our guests), and we soon realized that we did not need to worry about making sure things were going smoothly because you had it under control. We loved that we were able to relax and actually have fun with our family and friends.
We appreciate your professionalism; you showed up in plenty of time, looked professional, and you respected our request to keep everything going in a timely fashion. But most of all, you allowed us and all of our guests to have the most enjoyable night. The music was great and your stage presence was impeccable; many people said you were the best DJ they have ever heard. We have been to many parties where the DJ was awful and it ruined the whole night. We can do nothing but sing your praises.
Rest assured we (my family and many of our guests) will call you for any future parties. For the many years to come when we look back on our wedding reception, we will always remember how you helped make our evening so special and so memorable. From the bottom of our hearts - we thank you.
As Mayor of the City of North Olmsted, and on behalf of all residents, please accept my most sincere thanks for the music and entertainment you provided at the North Olmsted USA Salute to Veterans event on Friday, August 26, 2011. This event was a great success and had a sense of community and gratitude that was enjoyed by all. We are thankful for the effort you made to help us celebrate the men and women of our armed forces, past and present. There is no greater sacrifice than their service to our nation.
My administration was pleased to work together with you in this venture and we look forward to partnering with you again in the future. If I can ever be of service to you please let me know. I can be reached at (440) 716-4164.
Sincerely,
Kevin M. Kennedy

"I wanted to thank you for becoming the voice of the Normandy Invaders Boys Basketball team. Your gameday enthusiasm was infectious and created an environment that fostered school spirit and Invader Pride. You truly are in a league of your own when it comes to announcing high school basketball games. The community has embraced you as one of their own. I can’t tell you the number of spectators that have sought me out to thank me for bringing you into our program. Your commentary and player nicknames have created an “event” atmosphere at Normandy home games. I appreciate the professional preparation that you brought to every game. I look forward to having you in this program for as long as I am here. Thanks again."

”On behalf of the Cleveland Cavaliers organization, I want to thank Ray for being our guest MC the second year in a row for the Cavaliers Cheerleading Competition. You have brought the event to life by drawing the fans into the competition with your jokes and suspense. Your presence is invaluable when it comes to keeping the event on schedule, which is critical due to NBA timelines. I thoroughly enjoyed working with you and look forward to working with you again!"

"I just want to take this opportunity to thank Ray for the Academy Award performance he put on at our Fourth Annual Al Gruss/Tony Dibiasio Early Bird Baseball Tournament. His sense of humor and short skits kept everyone in attendance on their toes and listening intensely to every word that came out of his mouth. His ability to keep the audience, of all ages young and old, involved was important to the success of our Tournament. He literally became one of the high points of the Tournament. He left all the baseball fans talking about the performance long after he had left. When you hire DJ Ray, you don't just get a deejay BUT an entire performance that keeps everyone at the event participating in all the activities that he provides.

"Ray has been our middle school football announcer for the past couple of years. Ray does an outstanding job as an announcer for the football program. He is very comfortable behind the microphone, and you can tell he has plenty of experience in this field. He does an excellent job of mixing music, play-by-plays and humor to entertain the spectators. I have heard nothing but high praise from the parents and coaches in regards to Ray's announcing. He keeps the audience involved by reading different trivia questions throughout the game. He also provides a prize to the spectator with the correct answer. I never have to worry if Ray will provide an entertaining game for everyone involved. He delivers every time."

"Ray has been providing outstanding volleyball play-by-play game analysis and entertainment to spectators at Lakewood High School athletic events for past four years. Ray is a perfectionist, always arriving early to set up and to ensure that the evening runs smoothly. Ray is also dependable and will let me know in advance if he is unable to be at the match. Each year, spectators from the Lakewood community, as well as from opposing schools, compliment me on Ray's energetic, smooth, and often humorous commentary. I personally have never seen a better sports announcer than Ray, and am thrilled that we have such a talent at Lakewood. His abilities make our matches even more exciting."
